Heather utilizes client-centered and strengths-based approaches to therapy. She strives to make her clients feel safe and supported in their work with her. Heather often incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness-based approaches in therapy. She is also a certified EMDR* therapist and uses this modality, when appropriate, to help clients heal from past trauma. Heather tailors the therapeutic process to the unique needs of each client and helps them harness their strengths to achieve their goals. Her sessions are filled with attentive listening, curiosity, laughter, problem-solving, and creativity.
