Adult Group Therapy
Minnesota Mental Health Clinics offers several group therapy programs tailored to specific types of mental health goals.
Group members are taught to recognize situations or events that trigger anger and to utilize more effective approaches to managing anger. Our Professionals employ a variety of anger management approaches that include assessment, self-monitoring, group therapy, psycho-education, role play and relaxation techniques.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach. The assumption is made that clients are doing the best that they can to cope, that they are using coping skills that worked for some difficult situations, but are no longer effective in their life. This is an approach that integrates the cognitive, the emotional, the behavioral and the spiritual.
STAT and DaTRAC provide a supportive cognitive behavioral environment that emphasizes the development of healthy coping skills and provide guidance, encouragement, education, and resources as a way to address problems and promote mental wellness. The program is designed to provide the level of service appropriate to each client’s situation.
Horizons CSP provides service and the necessary support to help people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who live in the community and lead productive, satisfying lives. Our support ranges from housing to educational &recreational opportunities, appropriate provider services, and gainful employment.
